Well let me
introduce myself first, one half of the nomad, a compulsive day dreamer, having
an insatiable thirst for adventure and meeting new people: P, a barista.
This is
like my first blog post ever, so yeahhh haha. Firstly let me tell you the story
of how I fell in love with coffee. I’ve been working in the coffee scene in Singapore
for the past 6 years. For me it has been a experience like no other, from
learning the basics of how to do coffee, how to froth a milk, to do latte art
to exploring the more.. deeper part of coffee, where is it grown, the people
who grows it, what we as a consumer can do to make the farmers life better,
fair trade, etc. But for me one of the part which interested me the most was the
interaction that I had with people, the opportunity to make their day that much
better, the chance to share and talk about our passions and interests. I love
coffee. We’ll definitely talk a lot more about C8-H10-N4-O2 later on but for now I want to let
you know who I really am.
I’ve always
been a dreamer; I love to imagine scenarios in my head for almost everything. You
know like how you would imagine your own funeral and what people would say, who
would be there, or when you’re waiting for the train, what would happen if
suddenly there was an earthquake and you had to like save everyone, or how you’re
walking home and suddenly you encounter a lion.. well you get my point.
My biggest dream was to travel the world, to
meet new people, to share my passion, to learn new things, to try new
experiences, to meet a girl who not only shares my dreams but gives me new
dreams to catch.
This post
is dedicated to the Amazing Eunice Tan, one half of the nomad, the girl who not
only fulfills my dreams but takes it beyond my wildest imagination.
