Since my counterpart has introduced himself, I thought it was apt to also introduce myself.
By day, I am an events coordinator and by night a waitress. In between all this, I am a Nomad. I am a fighter. I fight for things I believe strongly in, and I fight hard to make my dreams happen. People ask me how I manage with a full time job, a part time job and a social life, I say balance and mindset. Everything in moderation, and after awhile, your body adapts.
Other than work, my brain is 50% filled with food. My friends tell me that I know all the places with good food and I love taking pictures. Of the food I eat and of things I love. And speaking of that, I shall start doing my food reviews again. But unfortunately, cafe hopping is not so wallet friendly and recently, I have been investing too much into the other 50% of my brain - traveling.
Traveling is awesome not only because you get to live in a dream for a moment, but also because you are exposed to learn so much more. To see the world and to learn about other cultures. Traveling opens your eyes to a whole new world, you see talented people playing instruments on the streets, you see kind-hearted people volunteering in Cambodia. You see hardworking people making a living by selling streetfood. This kind of experience is unforgettable. And even better, there are platforms like couchsurfing and airbnb where people even rent out their couches and apartments at no/low cost for travellers. One thing I love about living with locals or in hostels in the interactions you get with other people. People from all different walks of life with such a variety of experiences, what better way is there to learn?
Lastly, coffee. I never liked coffee and 6 months ago if you told me I was going to start a cafe business specializing in coffee, I would have told you you were crazy. I still think we are crazy, but this is good crazy. This is a kind of crazy I am willing to take on with the other Nomad - Abbas :)
